During WWII local St. James Parish journalist, Joe Lucia, published 7 magazines that were mailed to troops serving abroad. It was a way to give the servicemen news from St. James Parish, but was also used to promote St. James Parish's history. Further the magazine's goal was to establish St. James Parish as a place industrial and commerce post-War. Only 7 issues were printed due to the war's end. About 25 years ago, the St. James Historical Society (now defunct) had reprinted the 7 magazines to sell them to a new generation of local historians. A few of these were in the possession of the GACHGS and we now offer them for sale.
